| Anyone can rent a drum sander, but not everyone can
control it. The pressure has to be consistent, and you have to keep moving
steadily. If you mess up, you end up with a divot in your floor. If you'd
like to try your hand at sanding, rent one of the less aggressive machines
Try a sander with a flat, rectangular sanding pad that moves in tiny circles
– like a palm sander that you push. It's a lot slower that a drum sander,
but that can be a good thing. |
