Cracks in your plaster walls or ceilings

Before you fill the cracks in your plaster walls or ceilings, be sure they're not an indication of structural problems. A scattering of hairline cracks in an older home probably isn't a symptom of a bigger problem, but several wider cracks on one wall may be. Have a contractor check it out if you suspect something serious.
