| Turn it off or pull the plug and wait a full minute or two. Sometimes the VCR gets into a confused state, and de-powering it allows the microcontroller to reset itself. If this doesn't do the trick, you will need to open up the VCR to help cycle the cassette-loading mechanism by hand. |
