| When you're building or renovating a home, create a house diary in a composition book or ring binder and write down everything that happens to the house, step by step. Use your diary to record the work that was done, how long it took, and how much it cost. Include plans, building permits, drawings, and photographs of the work in progress. A house diary will server as a paper trail and a historical document, and it can be a useful reference for future projects. |
