| Fresh wallpaper can transform a room, but before the
new wallpaper goes on. The old wallpaper should be removed. Some kinds of
papers simply peel off, and washable papers may require a steamer, which you
can rent. But most paper can be removed with warm water, a garden sprayer,
wallpaper remover solution, and an inexpensive wallpaper scraper. Using the
sprayer, remover and warm water, soak the paper first. Work the mixture into
the surface, letting it really penetrate the paper. Then do it again. When
the old paper is damp and soft, start scraping. The old paper should come
off easily. If not, soak it some more. |
