Circular Square is a low-priced circular saw jig that is custom fit to any circular saw. The built-in square gives you a perfect 90 degree cut on all dimension lumber of twelve inch width or less.
It also has a straight edge that will give you accurate cuts on any angle. It is ideal for use on all boards, fencing, siding, studs, joists, rafters, flooring, and all forms of molding and trim. With Circular Square, it is not necessary to use a table saw or miter saw for most crosscut work.
By far the most common cut is the square cut, and with Circular Square, you will not have to take the time to find your square and draw a line. Just make a mark where you want to cut and place the right edge of Circular Square on the mark. You can then quickly and safely make a perfectly square cut automatically. It also guides your saw to a perfect cut of any angle.
This item is ideally suited for the home handyman to use in the workshop and on the job site, such as building a deck, or that new fence. Anyone who owns a circular saw won't want to be without this valuable accessory. It will make a fine birthday or special occasion gift.
Using Circular Square takes away the intimidation a new carpenter may experience when using a circular saw.

Straight edge and square for all circular saws |
How it works
1. Customize Circular Square to fit your saw: Position the 'Circular Square' on a work surface so that the right one third is extended over the right end of the surface. Press the underside lip against the work surface edge. Hold firmly in place with your left hand. With the left edge of your circular saw base plate against the straight edge of the 'Circular Square', cut the waste portion of the 'Circular Square' off. Always use a slight pressure to the left to keep the base plate squarely against the straight edge.
2. Automatic Square Cuts: Making 90 degree cuts has never been easier. And with 'Circular Square', it's faster and safer. There is no need to take the time to draw a line. Just make a mark where you want to cut, place the right edge of 'Circular Square' on the mark, and cut. Be sure to hold the 'Circular Square' firmly in place by squeezing your left thumb against the 'Circular Square' and your left fingers against the work being cut. Material from 1/2" up to 12" wide can be quickly cut this way.
3. Straight Cuts on any Angle: 'Circular Square' makes it easy to cut angles that are not 90 degrees. Simply draw a line of any angle where you want to cut. Position the 'Circular Square' with the right edge touching the line, and hold firmly in place with downward pressure on the left hand. (You may need to use a filler piece of wood as shown in the photo.)
4. Cuts Plywood up to 30 inches: There is one other job 'Circular Square' will do for you. Straight cuts that are from 12" to about 30" are easily handled by drawing a line at the desired angle. Clamp the work to be cut to the work surface. Place the 'Circular Square' so its right edge is on the line and the entire 'Circular Square' is on top of the work to be cut. (Do not put the lip of 'Circular Square' over the edge) Hold it by the finger grips as shown in photo number 4. As you are cutting, hold the 'Circular Square' in place with downward pressure of the left hand. As your circular saw gets half way across the 'Circular Square' the housing will rest against your left wrist. From this point, move both the 'Circular Square' and the saw across the board being cut, being careful to keep the right edge of the 'Circular Square' exactly along the line.
