Deckote is a
semi-industrial hard wearing acrylic system that has been
especially formulated for use by homeowners, contractors
and painters on sundecks, porches, balconies, boat decks,
steps and concrete areas. Created in the 1970's
by Dicker Martens Paint Co., a division of Consolidated
Coatings Corp., Deckote was the first acrylic-based sun
deck coating developed.
The benefits of this system quickly became
renowned and today Deckote is still setting the industry
standards for quality and durability.
Materials required:
- Roller Tray
- Short Pile Paint Roller
- Paint Brush
- Scissors
- Deckote System
Deckote's long term experience and quality is
the basis of it's three year guarantee on new plywood and
plank decks.
Being an acrylic and containing
no oils, DECKOTE breathes. Under a microscope DECKOTE
looks like a layer of salmon eggs. Between the contact
points of the beads is a microscopic pinhole which allows
moisture vapour to escape, but will not allow the rain to
come in. This greatly lessens the danger of blistering,
peeling or cracking on wood and masonary.
